Nach ereignisreichen Jahren als Bibliotheksdirektor des von Norman Foster entworfenen „Berlin Brain“ und einer langjährigen Tätigkeit als Fachberater und Dozent gilt meine Leidenschaft weiterhin der Bibliothek als einem faszinierenden Ort und dem kreativen Diskurs von Planern, Bibliothekaren und Nutzern zur Gestaltung von Bibliotheksräumen. Mein Interesse gilt u.a. dem Prozess, wie Architektur und Ausstattung einen unverwechselbaren Raum für inspirierenden Austausch, für Lernen und Kommunikation in einer hybriden Wissensgesellschaft schaffen können.

Library Consultant
Following some great and inspirational years as library director of the ‚Berlin Brain‘ designed by Norman Foster and many years as a consultant
and lecturer, I am still passionate about the library as a fascinating location and about the creative discourse between planners, librarians and users concerning the design of library spaces. My interest is focused on the process by which architecture and furniture can create a distinctive space for inspiring exchange, learning, and communication within a hybrid knowledge society.
